Christos Giannakoupoulos presents RL 11

Three urban areas, Athens (Greece), Beirut (Lebanon) and Alexandria (Egypt), that CIRCE want to study. Air pollution, health issues, sea level rise, water availability and precipitation scarcity are some of the problems that these three cities are already facing and could be exacerbated by climate change effects. Christos Giannakoupoulos, researcher at the National Observatory of Athens (Greece) and co-leader of Research Line 11 (Integrating case studies), is deeply involved in this kind of studies, as he told Angela Simone’s (CIRCE communication office) microphone.
