Antonio Navarra on the launch of Scoping Meeting for IPCC AR5
CIRCE is optimally placed to make a major contribution to the Fifth Assessment Report of IPCC: the next work of IPCC will be more focused on regional levels and CIRCE is a precursor of this approach. Furthermore Mediterranean is a check point for climate change issues since changes are going to be more visible and the sensitivity of this region to climate change is certainly higher than elsewhere. Antonio Navarra, CIRCE co-chair comments with these words to Angela Simone’s microphone (CIRCE Communication Office) on the launch of Scoping Meeting of 5th Assessment Report of IPCC, held in Venice (Italy) on 13 July 2009 and hosted also by Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Climate Change – CMCC (Italy) and Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei- FEEM, partners of CIRCE.
