Margarita Astralaga, interviewed by Mauro Scanu (CIRCE communication office) and participating in the CIRCE First Stakeholders meeting as director of IUCN (The World Conservation Union) Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation (located in Malaga, Spain), thinks that CIRCE can contribute in investigating the impacts of climate change in the Mediterranean region in order to provide to stakeholders clear ideas on what kind of ecosystem services and adaptation measures can be adopted to protect typical and local ecosystems in the basin.
