Ricardo Garcia Herrera, Research Line 6 Extreme Events co-leader has been appointed as new President of AEMET, Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (the Spanish Meteorological Service). Garcia Herrera is climate professor at the Univesidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain).
